T urns out young people have finally realized that both males and females, desire, and care about sex. Even though teenage boys consume more pornography and think about it more often, a new study that interviewed Swedish year-olds discovered that teen boys and girls fantasize about the same things. Not only that, but teenage girls are more interested in pornography than conventional thinking leads us to believe. Based on the findings, there are no differences between the number of teen males and females who say their sexual behavior is influenced by pornography in a big way which, might not be a good thing. Unsurprisingly the teens that do watch pornography have more favorable attitudes towards it in general. And, the females in the study were more experienced than the boys in oral, anal, and vaginal sex. However, the genders were equally likely to partake in one-night-stands, group sex and buddy-sex. But despite that, the teens in the study who were sexually active did hold the perception that males and females are equally interested in sex. Contact us at letters time.

The impact of porn on men has been studied, but little is known about how it could affect women. Between the ages of 11 and 16, Neelam watched porn most days. She quickly got over that initial shock. She wasn't alone. For Neelam, it started with a simple curiosity about sex. As Neelam became more well-versed in the kinds of videos that were available, she began to develop certain tastes. It just felt like I was satisfying a need. I remember how quickly I got desensitised to it — 10 men and one woman, orgies that were basically a writhing mass of bodies, women being slapped or otherwise humiliated — and I was accessing all this before I had even had sex. I still watch it, though not as much, but I do think that after using it regularly for more than 10 years, I now find it difficult to orgasm without some higher level of stimulation, like a vibrator. Or more porn.
Young women are turning to social media in search of nonjudgmental places to speak honestly about sexual violence in their daily lives. Teen girls, most of them stony-faced and looking tired, use the voiceover to soundtrack their own videos that all begin the same -- with them holding up 10 fingers, which then fall quick-fire like dominoes, as they document the various ways in which they've been harassed by boys and men. Those stats and the reaction to those videos make it clear that sexual harassment and violence are common experiences for girls and women -- just look at the comments accusing them of lying, telling them "it's not that deep," even telling them they asked for it. It's an epidemic that starts young, that often happens for the first time when they're in school, that discourages speaking up for fear of being slut-shamed or not being taken seriously by adults.
